What a night to photograph at the footy. The AFL clash between the Hawthorn Hawks and the Sydney Swans at the MCG. We photographed the President’s Function in the Olympic Room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Capturing the atmosphere of the exclusive event. Lots of Hawks VIPs such as Peter Knights or “Robert” DiPierdomenico (aka “Dipper”), the Audi CEO (as the main sponsor of the Hawks), the CEO of the AFL, the former prime minister Julia Gillard (as an ambassador for Beyond Blue) were present.
Melbourne Gala Dinner Photographer
Approximately 500 guests filled the room to the maximum capacity and it was a bit challenging to get around. To capture a Gala Dinner in a creative way it is always important to be able to move around. Different perspectives help to tell the story of the evening. Capturing the atmosphere is one of the most important things for our event photography in Melbourne – non staged photos showcasing the event.
The formalities began before kick-off and guests were treated to a beautifully cooked 3-course meal at this gala dinner. The match itself was thrilling and the reserved area outside the Olympic room was perfect to see the game.
