Every family deserves beautiful photos of themselves and their loved ones to look back on – some natural but professional family photography. It’s a reminder of how little the little ones were back then. It’s also a reminder of how you were as well! In the case of this sweet family, it was to celebrate the wonderful life which they shared.
Family Photography in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne
We chose a park in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne for our photo session. Just some kangaroos watched us. With all of our family photography, we like to keep it natural and relaxed – unless the family makes a request for something special. The only suggestion was to bring some of the kid’s favourite toys as children of his age get easily bored and restless. Some photo props create lovely scenes for us to capture – as you can see in our photoshoot!
Outdoor family photographer in Templestowe
The Templestowe park had some beautiful open spaces and some amazing trees and long grass as well. It was near sunset so we got lucky and, to the delight of the little one, some Kangaroos hopped across our path! It had been pretty cloudy for most of the day. The sun peered out when we arrived at the park and stayed with us for the whole shoot, allowing me to capture some stunning photos in great light. It would have been lovely to stay until the sun was lower and over the horizon but it would be too far past the little one’s bedtime by then! When it comes to small children, speedy shooting is required.
It’s also a great idea to take someone along to your family photoshoot who can help mind the child at times when they are not needed in the photos. Luckily for us, grandpa came for a little walk in the park and kicked the ball with the little one during this photoshoot.
Natural Family Photography in Melbourne
Natural family photography means that we capture you in the moment, looking relaxed and unposed. With Liza and Warren, it was just about photographing them as they enjoyed some time with their little boy who was just a treat! Their only brief was to dress casual for the park and try not to clash with the colours and patterns of their clothes. Most guys love that they can come barefoot or in thongs to their photoshoot!
It also looks great if a family wants natural family photography in a park or a beach, wearing more formal clothing. We photograph brides, grooms and their bridal parties at these locations all the time with stunning results! It’s all about personal preference.
