A Melbourne Family photography shoot at the beach. We ventured out to Altona to take some shots at the pier and went fishing with little one. It’s always important to give kids a little task or experience while you are photographing them. It keep them occupied and it does not get boring for them (works also for adults). Fishing with an apple was bound to get no results but we had lots of fun and we might have caught a shark.

A photoprop as simple as a bamboo fishing rod with an apple can make your photoshoot more interesting and fun for the kids. When shooting families in an outdoor location you never know what will happen – which keeps a wonderful experience.

Melbourne has plenty of beautiful beach locations and you don’t need to travel far. Altona, Williamstown, Port Melbourne, Albert Park, St Kilda and Brighton are only a few of beautiful locations to shoot. Even further south in Sandringham, Black Rock or Hampton all the way down to the Mornington Peninsula – we have some fantastic beaches in Melbourne which are ideal for photography.
