What a beautiful wedding day. It was predicted rain and storm and it turned out to be a sunny and warm day. As wedding photographers, we never trust the Melbourne weather forecast (see here). A Melbourne eastern suburbs wedding – stylish and elegant at Ballara Receptions in Eltham. For wedding Photography in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, we always find lots of beautiful lush parks, grassland and sometimes you feel like you are not in Melbourne anymore. It’s not the hectic city feel – the eastern suburbs are ideal for a beautiful relaxed wedding.
Melbourne Eastern Suburbs Wedding Photography – Box Hill
Vincent got ready in the suburb of Box Hill. Jenny in Eltham. As we are located in Doncaster East this was not much travel for us. The wedding was scheduled in the daytime and the couple opted for an early ceremony – so getting ready is always a bit more rushed than when you have the whole morning and can relax. The wedding was all located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne the travel distances were kept short – ideal for us as photographers as we prefer to photograph and not to drive a cat around 🙂
Wedding Photography at Ballara Receptions – Eltham
The couple got married at Ballara Receptions in Eltham. A serene lake, beautiful lush gardens and a nice rotunda set the scene. Jenny and Vincent used the chapel for their ceremony and the rotunda for the Chinese tea ceremony – which was first planned inside but we changed it to this beautiful spot as the weather turned out to be beautiful.
The food was delicious and the couple had a fun wedding party in the elegant rooms with lots of fun and dancing. Oh … and did I mention these chandeliers. Just stunning. A photo booth was available for the guests and everyone enjoyed themselves.
After the function, we used the gardens for a quick photo shoot. Sweeping willows and cute pathways are a nice backdrop. We were a little bit rushed as there was a second wedding planned after us (make sure you plan enough time and discuss with the venue beforehand) but we made the most out of it.
