Wedding Photographer in Portsea & Sorrento at All Smiles
Photographing a wedding in Portsea / Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula is always special. The beautiful landscape with its magnificent beaches and striking rock faces. It is a stunning photography backdrop for itself. A wedding photographers dream. Portsea and Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula offer so many wedding photography locations that it is hard to choose. When you love the beach it’s the perfect spot for a beach wedding. We love beachside weddings and this one had just the most magnificent views you can get in the whole Melbourne area – the perfect wedding locations for a Portsea wedding photographer!
The couple got ready with their family and friends in a nearby accommodation in Sorrento and Portsea. Beautifully decorated beach houses perfect for a wedding. There are plenty of these spaces on the Mornington Peninsula which you can use for your wedding. As Portsea and Sorrento are well known holiday destinations it’s often booked out. Plan ahead for your own wedding. This is especially important for the wedding ceremony and wedding function.
The chosen apartments and house had lots of beach and ocean features. This makes beautiful details and gives the whole story of the wedding the beachy feel right from the start. The bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and sipped some champagne while getting ready. While the boys had a beer on the balcony of their beach house – they did everything right to enjoy the time before the ceremony.

Kirtsy and Aaron got married at Sorrento Park overlooking the bay. The ceremony at Sorrento Park was a The two vintage VW bully buses were hired as their mode of transport. Turquoise in colour they suited the wedding locations perfectly. Guests arrived and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the bay. Sailing boats went past. Smaller cruise ships were seen on the ocean. But all that did not count anymore when the bride arrived. It was sweet and emotional ceremony – easy to move around for the photographer to capture the scene as there was so much space. After the ceremony, we took a few family photos in the nearby park before heading to our photoshoot to the surf beach of Sorrento on the other side of the Mornington peninsula – just a quick car ride away.
Wedding Photoshoot in Portsea
We took some photos at Sorrento park with the couple’s dogs. Walking through the park using the beautiful sunshine before relaxing with a glass of champagne from the back of the VW buses. A photoshoot which is no phootshoot is pretty relaxed. Enjoy a drink while getting some photos. We took a quick wedding-party group shot with the buses before heading off to the Sorrento back beach. And what a beach it is! The perfect spot to go for a relaxed walk and take some nice pictures on the way. Forget about all the wedding stress and just enjoy pure nature and the ocean! All this is just a stone throw from the wedding venue All Smiles.
All Smiles Sorrento Wedding Photography
The All Smiles Ocean Beach wedding venue is nestled in the remote section of the Sorrento back beach. It’s large glass windows open out directly to the ocean and we couldn’t imagine a much nice wedding venue. Its location and style is breathtaking. It’s not that far away from Melbourne. Just under an hour drive from the hectic city life and very close to the beachside towns of Sorrento and Portsea. The south-east coastline which has amazing waves and views makes the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Our couple had the ceremony at Sorrento park on the Port Philip side of Sorrento, but you could have also a ceremony directly at the venue.
The open-air deck at Sorrento All Smiles with its perfect sunset makes it one of the best wedding venues in the area. And it’s just perfect for photography as you get wonderful light for your couples shoot – just a short stroll away on the beach. (Be aware that during the day the light at the beach can be very harsh in summer – so plan your day, stay flexible and you get the most out of it. As the venue is so close to the beach it’s easy to do!). The Mornington Peninsula can get very busy in summer – but at sunset times you can have the beach or parts of it for yourself. What an experience.
The wedding venue in Sorrento allows up to 200 guests in a cocktail style party – but there is always plenty of seating available in lounges and on the deck.
