It was a wonderful day for a wedding in Melbourne. Chinese weddings tend to start early in the day and the colours at sunrise are sometimes stunning. We usually photograph the groom first and then travel for some Melbourne Wedding Photos to the bride. As Melbourne Wedding photographers we like capturing both sides getting ready. It’s telling a story of the day and keeps beautiful wedding memories.
Melbourne Wedding Photos
The church wedding ceremony was in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. After getting ready at their private homes we travelled to the church and witnessed an emotional service for the beautiful couple. We love taking some creative wedding photos while not interrupting with the ceremony. Capturing the atmosphere of the day. It’s always nice to start the wedding day with the families. They know you by the time the wedding ceremony starts and can concentrate on the couple. They are used to the photographer and can enjoy the ceremony. It’s one of the reasons why we prefer shooting full day weddings and not just a few hours.
Carlton Exhibition Building – Wedding photoshoot
This wedding was planned at the Melbourne Aquarium in the Melbourne CBD – a wonderful spot for Melbourne wedding photos. There are so many options for wedding photography in Melbourne and the couple wanted to get some wedding photos at the Carlton Exhibition building. A Melbourne wedding location which can get pretty busy on a Saturday and couples even need to line up to take their wedding pictures. It’s a public space and lots of people use the surrounds of the park. Nevertheless, the backdrop is a stunning one. We understand why lots of wedding couples want to have their photos taken there. It’s close to the CBD and offers plenty of parking for a limousine. The light at sunset is usually stunning.
Unique Melbourne Wedding Venues – Aquarium Melbourne CBD
The Melbourne Aquarium is a unique wedding venue and offers an interesting backdrop. They have plenty of different rooms and you can celebrate amongst tropical fish, penguins or sharks. The coral atoll can fit up to 600 people in a cocktail style wedding function or the fishbowl has space up to 200 wedding guests. Our couple chose the coral atoll and the big round fish tank was behind the main table. You also have wonderful views across the Yarra and the city lights. When you chose the fishbowl you are surrounded by fish – a wonderful spot for Melbourne Wedding Photos.
The function was packed with speeches and dancing. There was not much time to explore the aquarium. Make sure you plan a bit of time for exploring the fish or maybe go even on an underwater wedding dive experience.
As we had our wedding photos at the Carlton Exhibition building just before the function there was not much time left. But the Melbourne Aquarium offers you to arrive via helicopter of via boat … also nice options for wedding photos when you are after something different. Southbank is nearby and when you walk across the bridge you also could take some wedding photos with the Melbourne CBD as a backdrop. But you need to plan the time for it. Lots of options.
Our couple had lots of fun on the dance floor and showed off some funky moves. The fish were watching 🙂 Fun times!
