Getting ready … wedding preparations.
It’s always exciting when the bride gets ready at the parents’ house. So much flair and atmosphere make wedding photography in Elwood a pleasure. All the little items with memories and maybe even your old childhood room is still there. You are usually a bundle of nerves and excitement on your wedding day. A familiar environment will help you to calm down and relax.
It was a pleasure to photograph in this house. The furniture and decorations are just magnificent and a beautiful start for this wedding. There was plenty of time for the bride and bridal team to sip some champagne and enjoy the morning with family and friends.
Wedding ceremony at St Columba’s Church in Elwood.
The ceremony was held in a church near the beach at St Columba’s Church in Elwood. The groom was already waiting at the church when the wedding guests started to arrive. A little bit nervous … but he didn’t show it. Unfortunately, we were not allowed upstairs on the balcony to photograph. But the church was big enough and as photographers, we had plenty of other perspectives to capture.
Elwood Wedding Photographer – Let’s go to the beach
Elwood, Brighton, St Kilda. All Melbourne suburbs which are famous for beach wedding photography. Lots of wonderful spots and you usually always find an empty spot, especially on a colder day. And of course, there are the famous spots such as Green Point, the Brighton beach boxes and Point Ormond.
Despite the weather change – it got really windy and cloudy – we headed to Point Ormond. Some beers … another champagne to celebrate and relax. After enjoying the amazing Melbourne city views we ventured down to the beach and rocks to give them some time to reflect. They just got hitched. All the excitement of the morning and ceremony falls off and you can enjoy every minute now. The couple was so in love and it was easy to photograph the two. We just ignored the clouds, waves and the wind …
Elwood Bathers – Elwood Wedding Photography
Then function was held in the stylish wedding venue directly at the beach at Elwood Bathers (previously known as Sails on the Bay). And what a location is it to sit behind the glass windows overlooking the beach and bay. And suddenly you don’t care anymore how cold it is outside. The view is always magnificent.
Lots of dancing, fun speeches, great music and the food was delicious. A perfect wedding day!
