It was great fun to photograph this wonderful Indian wedding at the Hare Krishna temple in Albert Park. What a colourful affair it was.
Wedding Preparations in Albert Park
The preparations took place close by in a Melbourne home – Kruti wore amazing jewellery and a stunning traditional Indian wedding dress (she changed later in a different Indian outfit) – just have a look yourself. How much work goes in these outfits … you will only be able to find this in India.
Hare Krishna Temple – Albert Park – A joyful Indian ceremony
Oh how do we love the colours :-). The joyful atmosphere at the Melbourne temple was felt by all guests. It was rather difficult for us not to chime in the songs and start singing instead of photographing. The Indian ceremony concluded inside the Hare Krishna temple – just look at the photos and you know why it was an honour for us to photograph here – just stunning. The couple took seven steps together to reiterate their aspirations of their married life. Flower petals were thrown – the guests offered blessings to the couple for long and happily live together. Just wonderful.
Brighton Town Hall – Fun with Indian stick dancing
We had not much time for photos and we snapped a few shots in the gardens of the Brighton Town Hall. The Town Hall was decked out for their function. The big round tables offered enough space for all the wedding guests. After the speeches and the delicious Indian food offered at the buffet. Indian music performed by a live band – a photo booth to capture all the guests and fingerprint tree as a guest book was offered to entertain the guests. Everyone was invited to join a traditional stick dance. A great idea to bring everyone on the dance floor and have fun
